There are small things that remind you of the past- a composition of good memories and bad events. The striking thing about those things, sometimes they seem so unnoticeable. The moment you realize that this scent or this texture or this same table you're sitting on at this restaurant is the thing that reminds you of a memory. A memory that you think you have already buried long ago. Yet, it still resurfaces. It still manages to. And when it does, you can't help but to recall that moment, which seems so old and different now.

When I was in grade school, having a Chuckie in my lunchbox seemed to be a symbol that signifies how that day is going to be a good one. Now, this drink seems to be a confidante, a part of the aftermath. Now that I am in high school, I drink this after having a stressful day.

At least Chuckie remained the same. He remained a good friend- someone that still smiles at you, regardless if you chose to hold him at the start of the day, or at the end of it. He is still that chocolatey buddy.
